This week, New York Times Magazine unveiled the 1619 Project – a collection of writings which re-examines slavery in the United States & its impact on people of color today 400 years after the first slave ship arrived in this country.
Reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones leads the project which includes multiple pieces from top reporters.
She sits down with Ebro in the Morning to break down the impressive and ambitious piece of work as well as the history of slavery of America and how we continue to see its effects today.
