Multiple people have been reported dead after a shooting at a Colorado grocery store.
Boulder Police Department commander, Kerry Yamaguchi spoke out on the shooting and mentioned that a police officer was among those who were killed. At the moment, it is unclear on how many people were killed.
Reports say that a person of interest, who was injured during the shooting, is currently in police custody. Yamaguchi did not identify the person nor did he give any details on what motivated the shooting.
The shooting took place around 3 p.m and a witness, Dean Schiller, recalls the events the led up to the shooting. Schiller said to reporters that he was heading to the store when he heard the gunshots. He recalled seeing three people who appeared be injured.
Jared Polis, the governor of Colorado called the shooting an “unspeakable event” and he also commended the first responders who appeared on the scene to help everyone.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the brave men and women who have responded to the scene to help the victims of this senseless tragedy,” he said.
