Why did someone think this was a good idea?

El Gordo y La Flaca is one of Latin network Univision’s most popular shows. Even Cardi B has mentioned watching the show when she was younger, but when one of their reporters, Gelena Solano, ran up on her unexpectedly in the street, she was not having it.

When Solano first ran up on her, Cardi was politely telling her that she did not have make up and respectfully did not want to be on camera at the moment. It all turned left when Solano then decided to interview her father, and that’s when Bardi blew up on her.

“I love El Gordo y la Flaca, I love this show…but the way that you work, you lady, you are not professional,” she said to People en Español. “I’m literally getting off my car, the door is not even closed, and you see that I’m with my daughter and I’m with my dad and you put a camera. I turn around and there’s a camera and a mike in my mouth. You don’t know how to do your job! That’s not how it works when I’m with my child.”

She also explained why she did not want her family on camera.

“My parents, they don’t like to be on camera,” she said. “Back in the day I always used to post my parents and it got to the point that certain people were stalking me and that freaked my parents out.”

Cardi also addressed the altercation during an Instagram Live session.

“She got in my dad’s way,” she said. “That’s when I came out and I started bucking at her because I just told you I don’t want my f***ing parents on camera. Why the f***, why the f*** are you not listening?”

As for Solano she gave her side of the story to People en Español.

“In reality, we have regulations,” she said. “I have been doing this for over 15 years. I will not start recording a baby without her mother’s consent, that never happened and I would never do it. I didn’t recognized her because she wasn’t produced.”

I guess Solano didn’t see the “Press” video. See the full clip below.
