Cardi B has been silent since the shoe throwing altercation with Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Event, until now.
But in the latest issue of W Mag, where she’s also on the cover, the “I Like It” rapper opens up about the situation and what caused it.
Cardi revealed that the two did make peace a few times but it was something that Nicki did on Twitter that pushed her to her limits.
“For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.” Cardi said, detailing how her breaking point was when Nicki liked, and then unliked, a tweet calling Cardi a bad parent. “I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter,” she added.
“I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass fucking mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment? So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”
