Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens has been all over headlines for the past week after being SHAMED for having a regular job at Trader Joes.
Fox News initially reported the story after a fan took a photo of the actor while at work in his Trader Joes uniform. This particular story garnered a lot of support for the actor, as many fans defended and praised Owens for being a hardworking man and supporting his family by an means necessary.
In a recent interview, Owens admits that he quit his job at Trader Joes due to the amount of attention the story received. He also talked about how embarrassed he was when the photo was first released…however after the LOVE from fans his feelings turned around quickly …
“When I first saw the pictures I was really devastated. But the period of devastation was so short, because so shortly after that, my wife and I started to read these responses from all over the world of support … So fortunately the shame part didn’t last very long. It hurt, but it’s amazing.” -G.O

Owens, formerly known as Melvin from the Cosby Show has worked at Trader Joes for 15 months, and is now receiving open arms from the likes of Tyler Perry to come WORK!
Tyler Perry took to Twitter telling Geoffrey Owens to come join him while he shoots OWNS’s number 1 drama!
