Tay-K’s involvement in a 2016 home invasion has cost him 55 years in prison.
According to a report, he was sentenced on Tuesday (July 23) for the murder of a 21-year-old father during a home invasion robbery in Mansfield. He also has o pay a $10,000 fine.
“The Tarrant County jury also sentenced Tay-K … to 30 years in prison on one count of aggravated robbery and two 13-year prison sentences for the remaining two counts of aggravated robbery related to the home invasion. The sentences will run concurrently.”
It took the jury three hours to deliberate.
Tay-K was originally facing 99 years. He was 16 when the murder happened but was later certified to stand trial as an adult.
He will have to serve at least 27.5 years before he’s eligible for parole.
