FINALLY!

There’s been a lot of chatter about the second round of stimulus checks and it looks like it could be on the way soon!

Reported on Forbes, during a news conference yesterday (July 1), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said another stimulus check could be here “soon” as the Senate is gearing up to discuss the next Coronavirus relief package. He said they are working swiftly and would like to get it moving before Congress recesses from August 10 – September 7.

More than 20 million Americans have become unemployed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. McConnell said relief for unemployment in the next stimulus package is very important and will focus primarily on kids, jobs, and health care.

The first aid, The $2.2. trillion CARES Act passed in March gave Americans up to $1200 each. Under the new proposed package, The $3 trillion HEROES Act, Americans could receive more. We broke down what the second bill would look like.

Senator Roy Blunt said that “a month from now we should be in the final stages of getting that bill together.” Forbes reports by August 7, potentially an official decision will be made so hang tight America!
