Some have no regard for human life…even an innocent child’s life.
The suspect accused of throwing a 5-year old off the third-floor balcony at the Mall of America in Minnesota has been charged today, and his motive behind the heinous crime is MIND-BLOWING!
WSB-TV reported that Emmanuel DeShawn Aranda told police he was upset about women constantly rejecting him in the Minnesota Mall, so he was “looking for someone to kill”.
The young child fell nearly 40 feet and suffered head trauma and multiple broken bones. His mother told the police that the 24-year-old came up to her group as they stood outside the Rainforest Cafe restaurant. She said she asked Aranda if they were in his way, and that’s when he picked up the child without warning and threw him off the balcony, according to the police report.
Aranda was apprehended by police on a light rail train at the mall as he waited for it to depart. Police claim he admitted to the crime and mentioned wanting to kill someone a day earlier at the mall, but it failed. He intended on killing an adult but grabbed the child instead.
This isn’t Aranda’s first run-in with the law; he has a history of minor arrests such as assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
The young victim is fighting for his life at a Minneapolis hospital, according to his GoFundMe page. As of Tuesday (April 16), it has raised more than $670,000.
Emmanuel Aranda is charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder.
