In a historic move, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump. “The actions of the Trump presidency revealed the dishonorable fact of the President’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections.” Pelosi’s announcement comes as Trump faces outrage over reports that he pressured a foreign leader in an effort to target a political rival. Will the 45th president get impeached?

Reported on CNN Politics, Former Vice President Joe Biden is calling on Congress to investigate President Trump.

“Denying Congress the information, which it is constitutionally entitled to, and obstructing its efforts to investigate actions is not the conduct of an American president. It’s an abuse of power,” Biden said.

The article also says that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to announce a formal impeachment inquiry later today. This comes after the president “withheld aid to Ukraine while he was pressing the country to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son.

The announcement is expected at 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, after a meeting with all Democratic House lawmakers to discuss the Ukraine matter and growing calls from Democrats to pursue removing Mr. Trump from office. We will keep you posted!
