Unbothered? Drake does not seem fazed by the criticism he’s been receiving. It’s no secret that Drake is a big fan of the game, but his sideline “antics” has been causing a bit of commotion.
Drake has a lot of Canada pride, and goes hard for the Toronto Raptors- he’s even the team’s Global Ambassador. It appears that Drake’s over-excitement during the games doesn’t sit well with Milwaukee Bucks’ head coach Mike Budenholzer and Bucks’ forward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s representative Georgios Dimitropoulos.
Budenholzer stated, “I don’t know of any person attending the game that isn’t a player or coach that has access to the court. I don’t know how much he’s on the court. It sounds like you guys are saying a lot…There’s certainly no place for fans—or whatever exactly is what Drake is for the Raptors—on the court. There’s boundaries and lines for a reason. The league is pretty good about that.”
He made these comments after Dimitropoulos stated in a now deleted tweet, “Imagine a gig & an athlete on VIP seats, right next to the band, stands up on the stage just to show off during the entire game, knowing cameras are on him, occasionally even massaging the singer. Security & him both allow it. Never seen anything as disrespectful as this before…”
Welp! Drake took to his Instagram to indirectly respond to these statements.
