Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” revealed that his mother, Ata Johnson, was involved in a car accident Wednesday (Feb. 2) night in Los Angeles, California.

“Thank you God she’s ok,” The Rock captioned an image of a wrecked red Cadillac SUV on his Instagram. “Angels of Mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night.

The Fast & Furious actor added that his 74-year-old mother will “survive and continue to get evaluated,” noting previous obstacles she has overcome. “This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, [and] head on collision with a drunk driver,” The Rock shared. “She’s a survivor in ways that makes angels and miracles real.”

He also took the time to thank the Los Angeles police and fire departments “for being so caring [and] focused.” “Thanks for staying on phone and talking me [through] it all,” he added. The LAPD and the LAFD have not release any additional information about crash.

“I got one parent left so if you still got your mom and dad, make sure you hug ‘em hard [because] you never know when you’ll get that 3 a.m. call we never [wanted] to get,” The 50-year-old concluded.

The Rock is the star of superhero film, Black Adam, a spin off to 2019 film Shazam! The project grossed $393 million worldwide since its release in October of 2022.
