The family of Elijah McClain is still fighting for justice. They have reportedly filed a wrongful death suit against the city of Aurora, Colorado.

The lawsuit also includes the names of the police officers, the paramedic, and the medical director which accuses them of excessive force, negligence, and failure to provide medical care.

Elijah McClain, 23, was walking home from the store on August 24th,2019, when Aurora PD responded to a call of a suspicious man wearing a ski mask.

Officers put McClain in a chokehold and when the paramedics arrived on the scene, they would give him a large dose of ketamine to sedate him.

McClain died three days later at the hospital. He was declared brain dead and his autopsy report was found inconclusive.
