Rising actor and founder of Beastie Boxing Gym Cedric “Beastie” Jones has passed away at the age of 46.
According to statement posted on his company's Instagram account, he died on Monday, Oct. 16, however, his cause of death is unknown. "Cedric was a loving father, devoted husband, caring son, brother, community leader, and incredible friend who inspired others," a spokesperson from the gym wrote. "He genuinely wanted everyone to become the best version of themselves. He was a gift."
The statement continued, "Cedric had dedicated his life to helping people in and out of the gym. As founder of both Beastie Boxing and the BMoved Foundation, he inspired and helped people achieve what they previously thought impossible. Thank you for building our community, Cedric. We will always miss you."
Cedric is best known for his role in Emancipation, alongside Will Smith.
