A few months ago Chance the Rapper was searching for an intern that was proficient in writing proposals, and putting together decks.

The rapper even took to Twitter with this specific request.

Low and behold, Chance was able to find someone dope, and according to the lucky applicant, his internship experience was AMAZING.

22-year old Negele Hospedales from Canada had a clever way of getting Chance’s attention. Hospedales started a website titled “Chance Hire Hospey” with a list of all of his accomplishments and more!

The website went viral on social media and a garnered a response from Chance that would later change his life.

I got off work as a bartender in this awesome little music bar on Bondi Beach where I was working at the time, and had a text message from Chance that literally read, ‘how are you’ — not the type of message you expect to get from your favorite rapper at 3 a.m.” said Hospey in an interview with Pigeons & Planes.

Next thing you know Hospedales was on a flight to San Francisco to join Chance on his two-month tour.

Overall, this is what the young lad had to say about his internship experience: “Something concreted in my soul after seeing just how hard this man and his passionate band, background vocalists, production team, management team, security and damn near everyone else kept working, even in times when it would be easy to relax,”said Hospey. “You know, there is a real reason why Chance the Rapper will be on top for a long time to come. As a 22-year-old, this internship taught me a lot of things that I didn’t know I needed to know.”
