Steve Thomas’ Family Member Lashed At Kim Kardashian For Vowing To Free His Convicted Killer C-Murder

Steve Thomas’ Family Member Lashed At Kim Kardashian For Vowing To Free His Convicted Killer C-Murder

Monica announced she’s helping her ex-boyfriend Corey “C-Murder” Miller, Master P’s brother, get out of prison. C Murder is serving a life sentence for the 2002 killing of Steve Thomas, but with the help of Kim Kardashian, he could get released after new evidence could prove he’s innocent.

Kim vowed to help and made the announcement on social media over the weekend. In the Tweet, she starts by staying her heart goes out to Steve’s family. Then Kim said she’s joining forces with Monica and people from the reform alliance to help free C-Murder.

“True justice for the young man requires that the person who actually killed him be held responsible and that Corey Miller he returned home to his kids.”

“Since his trial, witnesses have recanted, new evidence of his potential innocence has come to light, and there are claims of jurors being pressured into voting to convict. The jury convicted Corey 10-2 and he was sentenced him to life in prison. If his trial was today, the jury would have had to be unanimous for him to be convicted.“

A family member of Steve commented under Kim’s post, lashing out at her decision to help free the person convicted for killing her cousin. The family member said, “how dare you speak on his name.”

“Keep in mind you are speaking on a family who is not in a position to come on here and speak on the behalf of STEVE THOMAS! How dare you speak his name as if you have some respect. Smh shame on you!!! Some things are better left alone. Let his soul rest in peace!!” Then she says,

“SOOOOOOO BOTHERING OUR FAMILY AND THE SLIGHT PEACE WE HAVE DOES WHAT FOR YALL?? RIDDLE ME THIS IF HE DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY COUSINS DEATH WHO DID? Reveal that part!! Then go from there. Thankfully his [parents] will not be exposed to these posts smh.”

Kim didn’t address Steve’s cousin’s comments. However, Kim has a few supporters by her side like Monica. The singer and C-Murder dated back in the early 2000s, they don’t share any children but Monica posted that she and he are “bonded by truth, honesty, and loyalty.”

“@cmurder & I are bonded by truth, honesty & Loyalty ! There’s never been a promise broken & I vowed to seek help! After a tearful conversation with @lala she and I spoke to @kimkardashian & I explained why I KNEW Corey was innocent… I shared that There are lots of issues in Corey’s case that speak to his innocence including witnesses recanting their testimony, dna not matching & a 10-2 jury! Corey deserves to come home to his girls and be the father they need, be the artist & leader he’s always been as well as spread hope to those who have also experienced this..I’ve locked arms with @kimkardashian@jessicajackson@edyhaney and all those who believe in Corey and are ready to fight to #FreeCoreyMiller.”

Meek Mill is also showing his support for the release if C-Murder. On his IG, he posted C-Murder with his family and in the caption said, “#freecorymiller off the rip.”

C-Murder was convicted of second-degree murder in 2009 in connection to the killing of 16-year old Steve. The shooting happened at a Louisiana night club. In 2018 there was a break in the case, the person who said they saw C-Murder shoot the victim, recanted their testimony and another witness did the same thing. However, even with the new findings, a judge denied C-Murder’s request for a retrial.

Last year, the beauty mogul managed to help free 17 first-time nonviolent drug offenders. In the same year, Kim appeared on The Today Show and spoke on her devotion to criminal justice reform stems from being a protective mother raising black sons.

“I definitely see how black men are treated in this country … and I’m raising two black men, so I want to make sure that my world and their world is as safe and as fair as possible,” she said.
