Quavo and Takeoff’s new debut album, Only Built For Infinity Links is out.

One of the songs, “Messy,” has the Internet buzzing. Quavo raps, “I said, ‘Caresha please’ ’cause she too messy (Woo, please).” The Atlanta rapper could be referencing Saweetie’s recent appearance on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please.

Quavo also raps, “B*tch fucked my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all)/You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it (You shoulda just said it)/Now shit got messy (Uh).”

Take a listen:

Social media debates if Quavo is referring to Lil Baby or Offset. Take a look:

The Migos seemingly broke up as a group in May. Offset unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on social media. Quavo and Takeoff also began performing as a duo. Before Only Built For Infinity Links was released, Quavo said, “I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo, you know what I’m saying, because, you know, we just came from a loyal family. We are supposed to stick together.”

In August, Offset filed a lawsuit against Migos’ record label, Quality Control. Variety points out; Offset says the company “continues to claim ownership of his recent solo releases” despite Offset “buying back the rights in a 2021 deal, for which he paid handsomely, according to the complaint.”

The report also says, “Based on a settlement agreement from January 2021, Offset and Quality Control terminated the Production Agreement with respect to Offset’s solo recording services, and Offset became the sole owner of all rights, title, and interest in and to his services as a solo recording artist, entertainer, and songwriter.”

A representative from QC said Offset is still part of the label. The label is seeking an ownership interest in Offset’s recent solo single, “54321.” Offset seeks a “declaratory judgment that Quality Control maintains no rights, title or interest in his solo career.”

It’s all so messy, hope everything can be worked out.
