What is going on between Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent?

The two former friends have been going back and forth on social media for the past week, each time with jabs that seemingly get worse every time.

Complex News’ Pierce Simpson sat down with Mayweather to try and get to the bottom of what really happened between the two.

“I wish 50 nothing but the best, I want him to keep doing what he doing,” he says. “I watch Power. Even if he left the show, people still wanna watch the show. But as far as this season, it’s s***. It’s been garbage… as far as the other seasons, it’s been the best show.”

Ok… but what really started the beef?

“50 Cent, I’ve always been a great friend to him,” he said. “He stayed at my house plenty of times. We traveled, we laughed, we had fun. If you choose not to be my friend no more then so be it. A guy Tommy Summers who used to be around me asked me…I guess he went to 50 Cent and asked him about getting involved in boxing. I was doing time. I read the newspaper, it said congratulations 50 Cent for getting the boxing license for TMT Promotions. I said when I got out – 50 Cent was riding in my Lamborghini one day – and he said I got the promotion company, basically trying to remove [Mayweather’s advisor] Al Haymon. It took me from 1987 to now to build my brand. I don’t want nothing from G-Unit. Whatever you got going on let’s just remain friends and stay cool. Then he said I owe him money. I don’t owe anyone money.”

Interesting.

He then ended the conversation by saying, “I’m not going to be out there disrespecting nobody, but I’m not gonna tolerate no disrespect.”

50 Cent went onto Instagram on Saturday (July 28), to call Mayweather his “little brother,” before taking another shot at him.
