Aaron Dean has been indicted!
On Friday, (December 20th), a Texas grand jury indicted for murder for fatally shooting Atatiana Jefferson through the window of her home while she playing video games with her nephew. The indictment was confirmed by the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office.
Jefferson’s family attorney, Lee Merritt took to Twitter to express how he feels about the indictment. “Remain cautious that a conviction and appropriate sentence is still a long way away”.
Bodycam footage was released where Dean is not seen identifying himself as a police officer or knocking on the front door of Jefferson’s home. Reports state that Jefferson was found with a gun in her home but police stated that she has every right to protect herself because she was licensed to carry.
Atatiana Jefferson was 28- years- old when she was killed.
