R. Kelly has certainly a hot topic in the last two weeks following the release of Lifetime’s docuseries Surviving R. Kelly.
That means that at anytime, somebody will ask you your thoughts on the matter. So hopefully people think a bit more wisely before answer.
Case and point, French Montana, who was caught a bit inebriated as he left L.A. Coliseum to watch the Los Angeles Rams face off against the Dallas Cowboys during their most recent playoff game. When TMZ cameras asked him about the singer he gave a controversial answer.
“All the greats went down like that,” he said. “Let somebody enjoy their legacy. Whatever happened, happened, man.”
Hours after the backlash, he returned to Twitter to clear up his comments, and express that it is important to listen to the victims of R. Kelly.
Let me be clear. My heart is with the victims. I never thought the people I looked up to as a kid, who sang and danced and gave me hope to become a superstar would become drug addicts, child molestors and rapists. I am hoping we as a culture create better leaders. We need them.
