In light of Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ documentary, many artists have either said they don’t support the singer or have remained silent. French Montana, on the other hand, feels slightly different from most of the celebrities that have spoken out.
Although French isn’t defending the sexual misconduct allegations that surround R. Kelly, it could be safe to say that French is able to separate the “art from the person.” While many are saying #MuteRKelly, French believes R. Kelly has a right to enjoy his legacy.
TMZ caught up with the “No Stylist” rapper who sang a snippet of some of R. Kelly’s greatest hits. He was asked if people should stop listening to his music and French said people don’t let artists have their legendary moments. See his remarks right here:
