Gabrielle Union Says She Felt ‘Entitled’ To Cheat During Her First Marriage

Gabrielle Union is opening up about infidelity in her first marriage.

During a recent interview, Gab Union spoke out her first relationship and marriage to football athlete Chris Howard. She expresses that she didn’t feel guilty about cheating on the ball player. The two were married from 2001-2006, and Gag says she would cheat on him because he cheated on her. “I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what you’re doing?’…You’re gonna feel this one.”

The actress also expresses that she felt a sense of entitlement to cheat as she was seemingly the breadwinner in the relationship. “I felt that that’s what comes, the spoils of riches…Like my dad before me, whoever has the most gets to do whatever the hell they want, is what I thought.”

She goes on to say that the relationship should of “never gotten out of the dating phase.” She explains,

Ultimately, Union says her marriage to Howard was “a stupid relationship that should never have gotten out of the dating phase.” She explains, “[I was] horny for validation and having certain kinds of guys like me and want me. That made me feel like I was worthy and good and valuable and deserving.”
