Today might be considered a holiday in some people’s eyes because it’s Beyonce’s birthday!
While we all celebrate Bey Day across the world, here are seven things on her 37th birthday, that even the biggest beyhive fans might not know.
1. Beyonce is messy.
On an episode of Watch What Happens Live!, Bey’s bestie Kelly Rowland revealed that her friend is a bit of a “slob.” She also went on to say “If you walk in (there’s a mess) – maybe she’s gotten better since becoming a mother – but she’s got a lot on her brain. You can tell she’s got a lot going on.”
In an article in Ebony, the Lemonade singer confessed that she was a “little messy” while her hubby Jay Z was “very organized.”
2. Beyonce has cheat days. Now we feel less guilty.
Her body is sick, but she’s human and has cheat days when she’s not keeping it in shape.
Her go-to food once a week? Pizza with extra jalapeno peppers and tomato sauce. (via Shape Magazine)
3. Her name has a special meaning.
The Beyhive may already know this but to those who don’t, Beyonce’s name is an adaptation of her mother Tina’s maiden name, Beyince. According to Bey’s uncle, Tina was concerned about their family name continuing because there were so many boys in the family, so she decided to keep it going by naming her daughter, Beyonce.
4. Beyonce will throw down if necessary.
50 Cent revealed that Beyonce is a real gangsta and rides for her man.
While at a club, she thought 50 and Jay were having an argument and jumped over the “ledge,” ran up on him from across the room, and asked “if there was a problem” in an aggressive manner.

5. She holds many records, Billboard charts, Grammys; you name it. But did you know she also holds A Guinness World Record?
Her baby reveal at the 2011 MTV VMA’s earned the most tweets per second for a single event in history.

6. From her baby reveal to a more of a somber fact, she suffered a miscarriage.

In her sitdown with Oprah Winfrey a few years back, she admitted that she and Jay Z conceived a baby before Blue Ivy, but sadly suffered a miscarriage.
“I flew back to New York to get my check up – and no heartbeat.”
“Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat…I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life,” she said.
The couple was pregnant with Blue Ivy a few months later.
7. Beyonce suffered from depression at one point in her life.
She dubbed it one of the “loneliest periods” in her life. Around the time when the original Destiny’s Child broke up, two of the members sued her father, Matthew Knowles over mismanagement.
Beyonce was devastated at the media scrutiny and the situation itself that she stayed locked up in her room and refused to eat.
So glad she became stronger from it and overcame….which then birthed the #1 song and album, Survivor.
