While 6ix9ine is awaiting his December 18th sentencing, one of his associates is already requesting a lesser sentence.

Aaron “Bat” Young, who pleaded guilty back in April for being a part of the racketeering conspiracy, has a suggested sentence of 240 months or 20 years in jail. However, his lawyer has submitted a letter to the judge, Paul Engelmayer, asking for less time for his client.

Complex reports that the letter states Young “deserves leniency due to being born severely premature and addicted to crack cocaine.” It also states that Young was subjected to “extreme physical abuse by his mother and being sexually abused by another relative.”

Young’s lawyer also noted that his client’s IQ is only 63 and that he was diagnosed with “Mild Mental Retardation of Intellectual Functioning.”

Young’s sentencing is slated to take place on November 18th.

Should Young receive a lesser sentence?
