What if we told you we might be getting two Nas album’s this year?
The Queensbridge native finally released his anticipated album Nasir a month ago. Now it looks like there may be another one in the vault.
Swizz Beatz is readying his own album with Poison. During a recent conversation with Pitchfork, he revealed that he and Nas have an album just sitting in the vault.
“I did his album two years ago in one week in L.A.,” Swizz said. “In the studio every day at 12 o’clock, just bang bang bang. Recorded the whole thing, got it all on film. It was an ill process.”
He also called it “super crazy, maniac s***,” which leads Nas fans who’s appetite wasn’t quite quenched with only seven songs on his latest project, where can we hear this?
Swizz Beatz also has other projects in the works including an R&B album, an “acoustics” album, a “global” album and an “energy” album.
Last time we heard Nas over a Swizz Beatz beat was in 2012 with the track “Summer On Smash,” and back in 2011 with his version of “Top Down.”
Both can be heard below.
