The world continues to mourn the loss of John Witherspoon.

He passed away at 77 from a heart attack on Oct. 29th.

Reported on TJB, At his going home service, actor/rapper Ice Cube shared some words. He said that he always knew that he wanted John Witherspoon to pay his dad in the Friday movie franchise because he reminded him of his own father.

He apologized to John for not coming out with the fourth installment of Friday before he passed. Ice Cube put blame on Hollywood and New Line Cinema. Ice Cube claims that New Line Cinema didn’t approve two of the scripts he wrote.

“I really apologize to my friend for not getting the next Friday movie made. It’s not my fault. Some dumbass people in Hollywood at New Line Cinema.”

“Gave you punks two scripts and you didn’t wanna do them. That’s the real. We were tryin’ to make that movie for years and we couldn’t get it done. We got the other three and we got our memories and we got our love. My condolences to the family.”

The new Friday movie is slated to come out in 2020.
