This is just NUTS!
According to NYDN, a 17-year-old Florida teen stole her parent’s debit card to get cash to hire someone to kill her parents. Alyssa Hatcher took her parent’s debit cards on two occasions and took out approximately $500 and $900 another time.
“Hatcher told officials that she spent $100 of the withdrawn money to buy cocaine, then gave the other $400 to a friend to hire a hitman. When that failed, she gave the other $900 to another man, who also did not follow through, according to the arrest affidavit.”
Hatcher’s parents pressed charges and she was arrested on solicitation of two counts of murder.
It’s not exactly clear why she wanted her parents dead, but hopefully, she gets the help that she needs!
