Kanye West lit the internet on fire following insensitive and untrue comments on TMZ Live in which he stated that slavery was a choice.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years … for 400 years? That sounds like a choice,” he said.

Van Lathan stood up and said what felt like most people were thinking. While the clip we all saw go viral stopped just as Kanye went to talk to Lathan, there was more.

A larger conversation between the two, and a cameo appearance from Candace Owens once the conversation turned to black on black crime.
