It looks like we might have a brand new James Bond on our hands.
With Daniel Craig calling it quits on the role following the release of Bond 25, it’s time to look for a new person to play the iconic character.
The Equalizer II director Antonine Fuqua reportedly said that 007 producer Barbara Broccoli is on the hunt for a black Bond by saying to him that “it is time”.
“Idris could do it if he was in shape,” he said. “You need a guy with physically strong presence. Idris has that.”
The 43-year-old actor has been mentioned for the role for years. He spoke to Good Morning America about it back in 2016.
“If I’m really honest, man, I think I’m too old for that,” he said. “I’ll be running around in cars and ladies and martinis. Who wants to do that? It sounds terrible!”
