Some may know Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie from Abbott Elementary. Others may know him as a childhood version of Chris Rock from Everybody Hates Chris. But the actor is now solidifying his place in pop culture as a multi-hyphenate as he shocks the internet with a new freestyle.

The actor visited Sway In The Morning two talk all things about the second season of the Emmy nominated show, but he didn’t leave without spitting a few bars. While rapping over the beat of GloRilla’s F.N.F. (Let’s Go), he laid down lines like “just be a man, Peter Pan. Just understand that she f-r-e-e all the way free.”

Twitter lost their collective minds, per usual.

But all of this recognition is new for the childhood actor.

In a new interview with Bustle, Williams discussed everything from the struggles he went through growing up in the public eye to Black representation. He also discussed the shift in how social media has perceived him throughout his career and now being considered a “heartthrob.”

“I remember in the early Twitter days, there were whole threads about how ugly and unattractive I was,” he recalled. “Now, when I’m so shockingly attractive, people talk about it… In a few years, it’s going to flip back.”

You can catch Tyler James Williams in Abbott Elementary Wednesdays at 9pm EST.
