Jada Pinkett Smith may be spilling her OWN tea!
On an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk, Jada spoke about betrayals within relationships.
Reported on People, the actress and her mother spoke to world-renowned couple’s therapist Esther Perel. Pinkett Smith reportedly asked Perel, “what are the alternatives to divorce? Everybody thinks as soon as you find out there’s been an affair you have to get a divorce.”
Perel responded, “I’m not of that persuasion because I think there are many relational betrayals. Contempt, neglect, and violence and indifference and nobody tells people, ‘Leave, leave, get the hell out.’” She went on to say how in some situations it’s hard to pull the divorce card if the two people involved still love each other.
Pinkett Smith said that she could “relate.” When asked about infidelity in her marriage with Will, she denied that, but said there have been “other betrayals of the heart.”
Back in February, Pinkett Smith revealed in an episode of Red Table Talk that she and Smith “put in a lot of work to keep their marriage together.”
