Bail reform startup company titled Promise is on a mission to offer help to low-risk, non-violent offenders in prison who cannot afford bail.

Promise keeps participants on top of their court dates/ drug test appointments as well as helping them find counseling programs, housing, and more.

According to reports, Roc Nation and First Round Capitol have invested 3 million dollars into the startup company to help further their mission.

“Money, time and lives are wasted with the current policies. It’s time for an innovative and progressive technology that offers sustainable solutions to tough problems. Promise’s team, led by co-founder and CEO Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, is building an app that can help provide ‘liberty and justice for all’ to millions.” – Jay Z
