For those who grew up enjoying hip hop and r&b in the mid-to-late 1990’s the sounds of So So Def are stitched in some of your longtime memories.
The man behind the label and the music Jermaine Dupri helped bring legends to the forefront including artists such as Usher, Da Brat, Mariah Carey and much more.
Last night (June 14), JD was officially inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the Marquis Hotel in New York City. Both Usher and Mariah Carey were on hand to help celebrate this big accomplishment.
Song songs Dupri has written in his career include: “Always Be My Baby,” “Like You,” “Nice & Slow,” “Promise,” “U Got It Bad,” “We Belong Together,” and many more.
