Although Jussie Smollett’s case was dropped, he’s still dealing with it!
Earlier this year, Jussie claimed that he was attacked by two men wearing MAGA hats. It was later speculated that the Empire actor lied about the ordeal.
While Jussie stood by his story, many, including Chicago PD, didn’t think his story added up. Even though Jussie was facing 16 counts including counts of lying to police, charges of disorderly conduct and filing a false police report, the case was dismissed.
People were shocked at the decision and Chicago PD ended up suing Jussie for six figures for all the time and energy spent on the case. Now it turns out Jussie is suing the two brothers who claim they were paid to stage the attack. Jussie is also suing Chicago PD.
Reported on TJB, Jussie accused the city of “malicious prosecution in his counterclaim.”
