It looks like Jussie Smollett caught a break in his case…

As reported on sources, Jussie was ordered to be released from jail today (March 16), by an appeals court. The court decided that while he awaits his trial’s appeal, he should be free. The appeals court said Jussie could be released after posting a personal recognizance bond of $150,000.

Jussie is appealing his conviction for lying to police about a racist and homophobic attack. Last week, a Cook County judge sentenced him to immediately begin serving 150 days in jail for his conviction on five felony counts of disorderly conduct for lying to police.
