announced student-athletes could receive “education-related” payments.
It’s been decades since the Supreme Court even considered the issue. Students in the past expressed that they felt exploited. CNN notes the NCAA “argued that the spending caps at issue were necessary to preserve a distinction between amateur and pro sports.”
