New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced schools will reopen.
In a Twitter post he said, he’s “confident” schools can reopen “in a way that protects public health while providing high-quality education.” In another post, he said that the health and safety of the students, staff, and their families will continue to be “TOP PRIORITY!”
The health and safety of students, staff, and their families will continue to be our TOP PRIORITY.
School reopenings must prioritize:
📏Social distancing
😷Face coverings
👥Limited capacity

Over the past three months, our students, educators, and families have performed heroically.
We’re #JerseyStrong and we’re confident that we can reopen our schools in a way that protects public health while providing high-quality education.

Some people online do not agree with the decision, what are your thoughts?
“Strong and confident” won’t protect kids and staff the virus

Yes, our educators have, but the transmission rate has literally lost all the progress it made from May to June with the reopenings. We haven't be able to get consistently below 500 new cases a day. You're sending educators, students, and staff into harm's way, Governor.
