Kanye West has officially made history.
His 2016 album (which is still changing by the way) The Life Of Pablo has officially went platinum. According to Pitchfork the project has been streamed over 3 billion times around the world with 1.5 billion of that coming from the United States. With the new system in place, that is now the equivalent to over 1 million albums sold.
This makes it the first streaming only album to officially go platinum.
Congrats Kanye!
