Kanye West shocked his audience this weekend after announcing that he was planning to use the plastic surgeon that worked on his late mother as cover art of his album.
Donda West passed away from complications after reportedly undergoing liposuction, a tummy tuck and breast reduction surgeries performed by Dr. Jan Adams.
Adams wrote an open letter to Kanye after he decided to “decline the opportunity to be featured on Yeezy’s upcoming album and asks that Kanye ‘cease and desist using my photo or any image of me to promote your album or any of your work,'” according to a report on The Blast.
He also included that if it’s all about love then it’s “inappropriate to drag the negativity of the past with it.” Adams continues with words claiming that his cousin Stephan Scoggins who was allegedly Donda’s caregiver after the surgery was to blame, “perhaps you should put your cousin’s picture on your next album. Don’t put my picture out there and claim you are about love. Love deals with the truth.”
Kanye responded to the open letter with a tweet spreading his appreciation for it, and hoping that the two can meet.
