Way to go, Kevin!
NBA star Kevin Durant is opened an after school facility in his hometown of Prince George County, Maryland.
According to Sports Illustrated, the program will serve as a tool to help “low-income and underserved students enroll and graduate from college.”
The after school program started on Wednesday. It started with a class of 69 local students. The facility will offer academic, financial and social-emotional resources to help with college and career development. Reportedly, “the center was created in partnership with College Track, an organization that uses a 10-year plan to help students from their early teenage years through college graduation by providing tutoring services and funds for college scholarships.’
