Hollywood has officially ran out of ideas.

We have already seen reboots of horror classics such as It, and Halloween, now it looks like Jason is going to back a comeback with a brand new Friday the 13th movie.

The surprising news is that according to Variety, LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment are in talks to get the rights to produce the film. We last saw Jason Vorhees torment victims (who always seem to fall while running away) in 2009 in a remake of the original 1980 film.

In case you were wondering, since the premiere there have been 12 sequels of Friday the 13th over the years that saw his violent adventures begin in Camp Crystal Lake, some how later Manhattan, and even more curiously space.

There are currently no directors or writers attached to the film, and no release date.
