A YouTube rapper caught the attention of Lil Baby.

South Carolina’s Lil Man J posted a freestyle on the internet, proclaiming to be the “white” Lil Baby.

In the song, Lil Man J raps, “Trying to be Black; I’m as white as can be / I’m the white Lil Baby, no one harder than me,” on “Cap Freestyle.” Take a listen:

Lil Baby responded to a social media post, seemingly not impressed. The Atlanta rapper said, “Is this a joke, or [is] he serious?” Check it out:

Social media users had mixed reactions. While some have J props for the bars, Lil Baby fans weren’t here for the swagger jacking. Under Lil Man J’s post, one person online in the comment section said, “white lil baby,” and another person wrote, “lil baby energy.”

On the other hand, in a blog post, one person said, “originality is key,” and another wrote, “be yourself.” Someone else said:

“bro got flow,” smh emoji, “but this impersonating sh*t gotta stop whether it’s rapping or looking like the rapper.” Another online user said something similar, “getting clout from mimicking others can only get you so far.”

In more Lil Baby music news, he’s gearing up to drop his sophomore album. A follow-up to his 2020, My Turn. Last week he Tweeted, “I’m coming totally different.”
