If you were hoping for a part two of Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” it will most likely never happen.
During an interview with GQ, Lil Baby said he doesn’t want to be no “Malcolm X or Dr. Martin Luther King.
“The more I’m seeing what’s up with all that shit, the more I’m like, ‘Let me back up off politics,’ I don’t want to be no Malcolm X or Martin Luther [King]. I stuck my nose in it. I’m good on that.”
Lil Baby dropped “The Bigger Picture” back in June, following the modern-day public lynching of George Floyd, and the murder of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. The song also became an anthem following the unjust killing of Rayshard Brooks at a Wendys in Atlanta, Georgia. The rapper received a lot of positive feedback for making a song with such powerful messages and using his power for good use.
It seems like Lil Baby wants to stick to what he knows in his music. He’s currently the only artist in 2020 to be double platinum with his sophomore album, My Turn.
