On Wednesday (Nov. 2), Lil Uzi Vert held a flash mob in New York City’s SoHo for a music video to their hit single “Just Wanna Rock.” Hundreds of fans, including YouTuber Kai Cenat and rapper 2rare were present.

The track, which was initially teased on TikTok, was released on Oct. 17. “Just Wanna Rock” received over 500 million views in just three weeks on the social media platform before the rapper was forced to dropped the track. This comes months after the release of their July EP RED & WHITE.

Although the release date hasn’t been confirmed, the Philadelphia rapper has been teasing their highly-anticipated fifth studio album, The Pink Tape. At a celebration for the 18th anniversary of JAY-Z‘s 40/40 Club in August, Lil Uzi Vert gave fans an update about the album’s progressing. “Oh, The Pink Tape? Well, it’s going through mixing process right now because last time I dropped an album, it did really well,” they said. “It was actually my highest-selling album but it was a little bit experimental on the mixing part, not the actual music, so this time, I went experimental with the music and traditional on the mixing.” They have been teasing this album since 2020.
