It was originally supposed to be released in 2014 but faced issues with getting released due to his contract dispute with Birdman.
Wayne and Birdman’s relationship fell astray right in front of our eyes. In 2015, Weezy sued Cash Money for $51 million, claiming the record label violated his contract terms and withheld money from him. On a few occasions, Weezy called Cash Money out but in 2018, they seemingly made up. That same year, Tha Carter 5 finally got released, but it wasn’t the original version.
