LisaRaye is giving her side of the story.
A surprise turned into a disaster during an episode of Fox Soul’s Cocktails with Queens for LisaRaye’s birthday. Her co-hosts, Vivica A. Fox, Claudia Jordan, and Syleena Johnson invited LisaRaye’s sister, Da Brat, as a surprise, but things didn’t go so well.
Lisa expressed hurt and pain over prior to seeing Da Brat on her show, they hadn’t spoken in several months. Lisa was more hurt that she found out about Da Brat’s new relationship via blogs and the radio. The episode was uncomfortable to watch, seeing Lisa so upset while Da Brat was speechless and the co-hosts were trying to digest the moment.
On a new episode of Cocktails with Queens, The Players Club actress told her co-hosts that Da Brat will always be her sister and she isn’t going anywhere. Lisa was frustrated that Da Brat didn’t let her in on her personal life and share the good news with her.
“I just gotta wait until she feels comfortable to tell me about life… her life. Because I thought that I would know. But, evidently, I had to take a step back and I’m just trying to figure out how far back to step, that’s all. And if I step too far back, then you may have to take the long arm to get me back, is what I’m saying.”
Lisa went on to say,
“When I had sh** going on, I shared it with everybody. So, when you’ve got shit going on and you’re happy, that’s a happy time in your life that you wanna share with the people you love, but I had to hear it from the blogs.”
