After maintaining her innocence for nearly 14 months, Lori Loughlin has pleaded guilty to fraud in the college admissions scandal case along with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli.
In March of 2019, Loughlin was arrested and charged with bribery, fraud, and money laundering as well as conspiring with William Rick Singer.
The couple claims that Singer had misled them to believe that the money that they have given to him was for legitimate university purposes and not for bribery. Loughlin was accused of paying Singer to help guarantee her daughters’ admissions into USC.
According to court documents, the couple’s attorneys and the federal prosecutors have agreed to have both Loughlin and Giannuli serve two and five months in federal prison. Loughlin is also set to pay a $150,000 fine as well as serve 100 hours of community service. Her husband also had to pay a fine of $250,000 and serve 250 hours of community service.
