The two 51-year-old superstars were spotted on a yacht rocking bikinis. A news source says they were in Italy, visiting Porto Cervo in Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea. Take a look:
The two icons have been friends for over a decade. They worked on the 2009 movie, I Can Do Bad All By Myself. During the Billboard Music Awards, Madame Noire points out that Taraji said beautiful words about Mary. The Baby Boy actress said, “You have sung our joy. You have sung our pain, and you gave a girl like me from southeast D.C from the hood a story and a voice. I love you, and congratulations.”
In addition, in 2020, Mary showed love to Taraji after she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Mary told Taraji how much she inspires her. Mary said, “You have been a total inspiration to me. … We meet people in the industry and they’re not nice. I’ve never had a friend that I can call while I’m on set and say, ‘How do I do this as an actress’ and you helped me when I needed help. And in my mind, that’s rare, because people don’t share and you’re a sharer. So thank you for being a giver and a sharer.”
In other Mary news, regarding her music, she wants to extend the self-love she’s found in her music career to the rising generation of Black women in music, Okay Player reports. She said, “Right now, I love the state of R&B because of people like Ella Mai, Kiana Lede, Summer Walker, H.E.R., Jazmine [Sullivan], SZA, Ari Lennox – it’s so much hotness out there. She continued, “I’m really proud of what Anderson.Paak and Bruno Mars [have] done before they were Silk Sonic. Music is just going in the right direction, R&B is back. I remember one time I was worried about R&B, I was like ‘Uh-oh, we’re done.’ But no, the [new] generation has revived us.”

On a serious note, she’s considering leaving America due to the social and political climate. She recently told PEOLE, “I’m really considering getting up out of here, leaving and living in another country. That’s something that comes with 50, you get tired of fighting. I’m tired.”
