Master P is always making a business move!

His latest venture is Reebok. As reported on Billboard, Reebok’s parent company, Adidas, is looking to sell the sports brand for $2.4 billion. Master P wants to buy it / be co-owner alongside ex-NBA guard, Baron Davis.

Master P’s plans involve transforming Reebok from a sports brand to a lifestyle brand. He also wants to put money back into black communities, which is always a powerful move. Master P told Forbes,

“As we focus on turning Reebok into a lifestyle brand not just a basketball brand, our most important initiative will be to put money back into the community that built this company.”

Master P took to social media to speak on the news more. He said if the deal goes through, the company will be majority black owned. Take a look:

“This is only one of many deals! Most importantly this will be majority black owned. It’s time to educate and show our people that we can do business at this level and open the doors for others to follow. It’s not impossible. Reginald Lewis did it in the 70s, now we are doing it in the 21 century. The goal is to put money back into our communities and give opportunities to our people off the brands we helped built. #Godisgood.”

Baron also told the publication,

“I think Reebok is being undervalued. I left Nike as a 22-year-old kid representing myself and made the jump to Reebok, which took a chance on me as a creative and as an athlete. I want the people I know athletes, influencers, designers, celebs to sit at the table with me.”

Reebok also wants to rebuild its connection with trendsetters of the world, the article reports. Reebok recently linked with Cardi B and dropped her own exclusive sneaker.
