It looks like Meek Mill is trying to bring a more positive attitude for artists in 2019.
The Philadelphia rapper took some time out during the Christmas holiday to send a message to artists going into the new year.
He’s asking artists to make bigger investments, and grow their wealth in the next year. It’s a message we’ve heard a lot recently, including from JAY-Z who made a similar suggestion on the his album 4:44.
With a younger artist making the suggestion, maybe we will see more artists take up on the suggestion. It would only help the genre to see younger, successful artists build on the blueprint set forth by Hova and others before him.
PSA: 2019 all rappers let’s start having a property and owning business challenge instead of Jewelery jets and cars, keep it up to par but let’s switch it up and level up so we can have money when we 50+ from years of hard work and grinding! Smarten up!!
