Simone Biles’ story to the top during the 2016 Olympics has been inspirational to many young women in this country.
Last night (Jan 15), the normally cheerful 20-year-old used all of her strength to share her unfortionate experience with gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar who she says molested her in a statement on her Instagram page.
“I am not afraid to tell my story anymore. I too am one of the many survivors that was sexually abused by Larry Nassar,” she wrote in the message.
Teammates McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas all say they had similar experiences. Nassar plead guilty in Michigan to sexually assaulting seven girls, and is now awaiting sentencing.
